Approximately 43 river miles of beautiful scenic splendor, beginning at either Warm Springs or Trout Creek and take out in Maupin or 6 miles below at Sandy Beach. Ride the whitewater rapids called Whitehorse, Buckskin Mary, the Four Chutes, Wapinitia, Box Car, and if you continue past Maupin, Oak Springs and Surf City. What a ride! This trip can be done in 2 or more days, camping and hiking and swimming and relaxing along the way.

Overnight packs for two rafting groups

River Trails Deschutes rafts are 13, 14 or 15-ft. self-bailing or standard floor rafts and come equipped with frame, oars or paddles, 80 qt. cooler, life jackets, pump, patch kit, cargo nets or spiders, cargo floors if needed, dry bags and ammo can. We will deliver the rafts and equipment to you at your specified launch site. Let us know when to be there! See Passes & Potties for other requirements.

The Warm Springs launch site is located on Hwy 26 just across the Deschutes Bridge in Warm Springs at the State Park. The Trout Creek launch is located beside the Trout Creek Campground, see the map for detailed directions.

This segment has some great trout fishing. Some of the best fishing occurs during the salmon fly hatch around late May or early June.

See Camping for information on BLM campsites (segment 1).
